How to cook with a whole chicken

I totally get it when I hear people say that “they do not like to cook with a whole chicken because it is too much meat for one meal, and they hate to waste it.” I have also heard that a lot of people do not know how to cook a whole chicken. I would like to show you my favorite, easy way to use a WHOLE CHICKEN with NO waste!

The first thing I do is to take the chicken out of the package, then I put it (frozen) in the slow cooker. I like to add potatoes too, and a little water. I then turn it to high and leave it for 5-7 hrs. Then I serve it.

After dinner I take out any big chunks of meat and save them for putting on my quesadilla for lunch the next day. Then I fill the slow cooker with water, add a little apple cider vinegar (to help get minerals out of the bones), turn it on and let it go overnight.

The next day, I pour the liquid through a strainer into a pot, take any meat out of the strainer, add it to the pot, add some vegetables, let it cook a little and Viola! I have soup for dinner.

So I can make THREE meals out of ONE whole chicken!
